Hey all! So great to “meet” you on the blog! So you're probably wondering who I am, which can be a very difficult thing to relay via blog post. However, I will do my my best to give you a little snapshot about me. So here goes...

First, some facts: I was born in Honolulu Hawaii. I have been to four different countries. I have been involved with overseas missions work since I was 17, (dare you to guess how I old I am :P) Both my parents were in the Air Force (which is why I was born in Hawaii, my dad was stationed there for a few years. Unfortunately I was two when we moved to Georgia and don't remember Hawaii.)

I currently live in Toccoa Georgia. If you haven't heard of it, don't worry. It's a tiny little town in northeast Georgia. (You'll get to know more about Toccoa soon enough!) I am going to college at Toccoa Falls College, which is a small Bible school there. I am studying Outdoor Leadership and Education, which I would LOVE to tell you more about. I work at a zip line company called Lake Lanier Canopy Tours. Yes, being a zip line guide is the best job ever, highly recommend it. I played basketball all the way through high school, but rock climbing is my love now. Or really anything that gets me out in nature. Backpacking is also a big hobby of mine :D I was homeschooled all the way through grade school. Yep. Most people don't suspect that when they first meet me, so you guys have the headsup!

I've lived in Georgia most of my life, but don't really consider myself a southern boy. A lot of my friends know me affectionately as “The Hippie.”

Now, less of the facts, and more personal. (there's a lot more, it's kinda hard to write everything down or even think of what all people would like to know.)

I have been blessed with a family who loves the Lord, and have grown up in a great environment. The last three years of my life I've really been learning what it looks like to trust the Lord, and to make my relationship with Him my own. So far He's led me to Africa twice, and now this summer will be my second time in Peru. I was so blessed and humbled to find out I would be returning to Peru. It's been a wild ride, and one that's super difficult to give one blog to. Those times and through other circumstances back in the states in the last three years, the Lord has led me into what it looks like to live in freedom, and to follow the sound of His Spirit wherever it leads.

I'm pumped for this summer! The Lord has some GREAT things in store for the summer, and I can't wait to get to live it with all of you! I am so thankful to God for the grace He has given me to be your leader, and I lean on Him daily for the strength, power, and wisdom of God to carry that out for your benefit.

Guess that's it for now! Stay strong in the Lord and trust Him. Love you all! He will guide you always. He is faithful

In Him

Brent
